The Future of Open-Source Risk Management Starts Here

Modern software runs on open source. Nearly every application is assembled from packages maintained outside the organization and consumed at global scale. That model unlocked extraordinary speed, yet it also externalized risk. Vulnerabilities, malicious code, and uneven maintenance turned open source consumption into a permanent security and operational burden.

Hopper changes the equation. We provide a centralized, enterprise-grade source of open-source packages that are fully patched, continuously secured, and safe to build on by default. Powered by AI and function-level analysis, Hopper delivers secure versions of any library, across every version, without breaking changes or upgrade cycles.
Open source, without the vulnerability management program.

We believe open-source is the driving force of the software industry. It powers the tools, infrastructure, and innovation behind every modern application.

Yet securing it has remained unnecessarily complex. Open-source security should be easy to use, easy to deploy, and easy to maintain.

That’s why we’re building a solution that is purpose-built for OSS risk, not an ineffective “AppSec everything” platform.

The Story
Behind The Name

We chose the name Hopper as a tribute to Rear Admiral Grace Hopper, a visionary computer scientist whose work laid the foundation for modern programming.

Grace Hopper was not only a trailblazer in early programming, but she was also known for her relentless curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and her ability to make the complex understandable.

Today, her influence lives on through events like the annual Grace Hopper Open-Source Day, which celebrates her impact and brings together developers to contribute to open-source projects.

As a nod to her enduring impact, we named our AI-powered AppSec agent after her. Like Grace herself, our agent is built to bring clarity to complexity, tackle challenges with precision, and make software development more secure and understandable.

Naming our company and our technology after her is a tribute to her legacy and a commitment to her values: pragmatism, innovation, and making the hard things easier.
